MAGNA EXECUTIVE SEARCH in partnership with a multinational located in the metropolitan region of Campinas/SP – Brazil, selects: 

APPLICATION ENGINEER

Responsibilities:

• Support R&D engineers in development of new solutions and services, manage field-testing, and assist in release and Rollout.
• Share field information/experience to benefit product life or market acceptance.
• Make appropriate plant visits and develop list of customer contacts.
• Manage/engage key Technical Contacts at OEMs through regularly scheduled touches (in-person and/or web conferencing).
• Technology Platform presentations to Technical Contacts at key customer accounts.
• Recommendation of solution and implementation of guidelines per application.
• Point of contact for regional OEMs regarding all technical matters including design, manufacturing, startup and troubleshooting.
• Seek to understand competitive technologies and evaluate needs.
• Support Account Managers and Product Specialists in the selling and implementation of Company’s solutions.
• Capable of employing PLC’s, HMI’s motors, and variable frequency drives which are used in equipment.
• Assist the implementation team in technical audits and health checks for Optimization Projects, particularly with new technology / complex projects.
• Work with regional sales engineers to support installations, troubleshooting, class issues, as the expert product specialist.
• Manage any class product/solution performance issues.
• Work with the Technical Support Group to review and approve incoming inquiries.
• Available after regular business hours to support colleagues and clients with respect to equipment / solution matters.

 Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other courses related.
• Previous experience on industrial applications, working with manufacturers and end users throughout all aspects of a project.
• Advanced English and Spanish.
• Strong technical and analytical skills with great attention to detail.
• Proven ability to read CAD drawings.
• Computer proficiency in software essential to job performance, including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, SolidWorks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexible to travel (often at weekends and holidays).
• Availability to be in Indaiatuba/SP, as required.
